Welcome to the 5th Annual 517 Juneteenth Weekend, a landmark celebration of Black culture, history, and community in Lansing, Michigan’s REO Town! From June 19 - June 22, 2025, join us for four unforgettable days of empowerment, education, and entertainment as we honor the legacy of Juneteenth and celebrate five years of impact.

This year’s expanded programming features thought-provoking educational seminars led by community leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers, engaging youth-centered events, and our beloved Juneteenth Jazz Night.

The weekend’s pinnacle event, the 517 Juneteenth Festival, transforms South Washington Ave into a cultural hub of music, business, and community connection.

• Live Music & Performances – Experience a dynamic lineup of national recording artists spanning neo-soul, R&B, gospel, and hip-hop, bringing the soundtrack of freedom and resilience to life.

• 90+ Black-Owned & Local Vendors – Shop, eat, and explore an incredible variety of small businesses, artisans, and food vendors offering everything from handcrafted goods to soul food classics.

• Kidz Zone – A fun-filled space featuring inflatables, 3-point shootouts, interactive games, educational activities, and more—ensuring fun for the entire family.

• Juneteenth Dance Party – As the sun sets, get ready for a high-energy celebration with themed DJ sets featuring Motown classics, 90s and 2000s hip-hop & R&B, soulful house, and more—a true celebration of Black music and culture.
